Prof. YUSUF YAKUPOĞULLARI

He was born in Malatya on April 20, 1975. He graduated from İnönü University Faculty of Medicine (English) in 1999 and started working as a general practitioner in Ardahan. In August 2020, he started his specialization training at Fırat University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Microbiology and graduated as a specialist physician on April 5, 2004. He worked as a lecturer at the same institution between 2004-2006. In August 2006, he was appointed as a specialist physician to the Ministry of Health Malatya State Hospital Microbiology Laboratory. He was responsible for the central laboratory and a member of the infection control committee at the same institution and established the Malatya Public Health Laboratory drinking water microbiological analysis laboratory.

In March 2010, he was appointed as an assistant professor at the Department of Medical Microbiology at Inonu University Faculty of Medicine. He received the title of associate professor in June 2011 and has been working as a professor since September 2016. He gives lectures of microbiology and immunology at the Faculty of Medicine, Vocational School, Dentistry and Nursing. He served as the deputy director of Inonu University Institute of Health Sciences (2 years), assistant chief physician at Turgut Ozal Medical Center (4 years), member of the Clinical Research Ethics Committee (4 years), member of the hospital quality management committee (4 years) and coordinator of foreign affairs at the Faculty of Medicine (2021-2025). He is currently a member of the Faculty of Medicine Education Commission, member of the Hospital Infection Control Committee and head of the Health Sciences Scientific Research Ethics Committee. He is married with 3 children.
