Prof. YUSUF YAKUPOĞULLARI

I was born on April 20, 1975 in Malatya. I graduated from İnönü University Faculty of Medicine (English) in 1999 and started to work as a general practitioner in Ardahan. I started my specialization training as an assistant in Fırat University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Microbiology in August 2020 and graduated as a specialist on April 5, 2004. I worked as a lecturer at the same institution between 2004-2006. In August 2006, I was appointed as a specialist physician to the Ministry of Health Malatya State Hospital Microbiology Laboratory. During the four years I worked here, I carried out microbiology, biochemistry and hematology laboratory analyzes and worked as laboratory responsibility for about 6 months. At the same time, I established the Malatya Public Health Laboratory drinking water microbiological analysis laboratory. In March 2010, I was appointed as an assistant professor to İnönü University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Medical Microbiology. I got the title of associate professor in June 2011 and I have been working as a professor since September 2016. I taught microbiology at the Faculty of Medicine, Vocational School, Dentistry and Midwifery Nursing faculties. I still teach bacteriology (42 hours/year), immunology (20 hours/year) and virology (24 hours/year) courses at the medical faculty. Health Sciences Institute Deputy Director (2 years), Turgut Özal Medical Center Deputy Chief Physician (4 years), Hospital infection control committee membership (4 years), Clinical Research Ethics Committee Member (5 years), Hospital quality management committee membership (6 years) I worked as a medical faculty external relations coordinator (since 2021) and a member of the Faculty of Medicine Education Commission (since 2021). I am married and have 3 children.
