Biography

Prof. Dr. Mehmet DEMIRCAN

Chairman of Departments of Pediatric Surgery, Pediatric Urology and Pediatric Burn Center at İnönü University Hospital, Malatya, Turkey

He was born in Malatya, Turkey. After graduating his medical education in 1989 at the Hacettepe University Ankara, Turkey, He went to İzmir for surgical training in a teaching hospital of the Ege University of İzmir, Turkey. In 1995 he became a Pediatric Surgeon and then he started as an assistant professor at İnönü University School of Medicine.  He studied at Texas Children’s Hospital and Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, Texas for a year in 1997. He became as an Associate Professor in 2000 and Professor of Pediatric Surgery in 2006 at the same university.

His scientific studies have been concentrated for areas of care and surgery of pediatric burn since 2006.

He continued his professional career as a chairman of Departments of Pediatric Surgery and Pediatric Urology, and Pediatric Burn Center at İnönü University School of Medicine, Malatya, Turkey.
