Abstract

Rhodium(I)-carbene complexes with 1,3-dialkylimidazolidin-2-ylidine ligand were prepared and characterized by conventional spectroscopic methods and elemental analyses. The rhodium-carbene complexes RhCl(COD)(1,3-dialkyl-imidazolinylidene), 2a-d, are an active catalyst for addition of phenylboronic acid to aldehydes. (C) 2004 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
