Giriş: Otojen greftler, hala kemik augmentasyonu için altın standart olarak kabul edilmektedir. Kortikal greftlerin rejeneratif kapasitesini artırmak için khoury kemik augmentasyon tekniği kullanılabilir. Bu tedavide sadece otojen kemik kullanılmaktadır.
Vaka: 49 yaşında sistemik olarak sağlıklı erkek hasta maksilla anteriorda bulunan dişsizlik şikayetiyle kliniğimize başvurdu. Konuşma ve çiğneme ve estetik açıdan zorluk yaşadığını belirtti. Yapılan klinik ve radyografik muayenede yetersiz horizontal kemik kalınlığı olduğu tespit edildi. Horizontal ve vertikal kemik augmentasyonuna karar verildi. Lokal anestezi altında ramustan otojen blok greft alındı. Blok greft iki eşit parçaya bölündü. İnce bloklar alıcı bölgeye mini vidalarla fikse edildi. Aradaki boşluklar partiküler otojen greftlerle desteklendi ve bölge primer olarak kapatıldı. Hasta 4 ay sonra kliniğe geldiğinde kemik hacminin yeterli olduğu görüldü ve implantlar yerleştirildi.
Sonuç: Başarılı implant tedavisi için mevcut kemiğin yeterli boyut ve kalitede olması gerekir. Alveol kemiğin augmentasyonu, implant cerrahisi öncesinde öngörülebilen kemik hacminin sağlanmasına izin verir. Khoury tekniği alveol kemik hacmini artırmak için kullanılan bir yöntemdir

Introduction: Autogenous grafts are still considered the gold standard for bone augmentation. The khoury bone augmentation technique can be used to increase the regenerative capacity of cortical grafts. Only autogenous bone is used in this treatment.
Case: A 49-year-old systemically healthy male patient was admitted to our clinic with the complaint of edentulousness in the anterior maxilla. He stated that he had difficulty in speech, chewing and aesthetics. Clinical and radiographic examination revealed insufficient horizontal bone thickness. Horizontal and vertical bone augmentation was decided. An autogenous block graft was harvested from the ramus under local anesthesia. The block graft was divided into two equal parts. The thin blocks were fixed to the recipient site with mini screws. The gaps in between were supported with particulate autogenous grafts and the area was closed primerally. When the patient came to the clinic 4 months later, the bone volume was found to be sufficient and the implants were placed.
Conclusion: For successful implant treatment, the available bone must be of adequate size and quality. Augmentation of the alveolar bone allows a predictable bone volume to be achieved prior to implant surgery.
