Özet

Synthesis and structures of aryl triphenylsilyl ether derivatives are reported. Reactions of chlorotriphenylsilane, (C6H5)(3)SiCl (1), with sodium salts of sterically hindered phenol derivatives (2a-2i) were investigated. Aryltriphenylsilyl ethers (C6H5)(3)SiOAr (3-8) were obtained from these reactions. Structures of 3-8 were defined by IR, H-1, C-13, Si-29 NMR spectroscopy, elemental analysis, and ESI-MS spectra. The molecular structure of 2,4,6-tri-methylphenyl triphenylsilyl ether (6) were determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
