Abstract

The Co(II), Zn(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), and Fe(II) complexes of 1-phenylbenzimidazole were synthesized and characterized by NMR and elemental analyses. The crystal structures of dichlorobis(1-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-kappa N-3) cobalt(II) and dichlorobis(1-phenyl-1H-benzimidazole-kappa N-3)zinc(II) have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction.
