Özet

Although hyperglycemia during acute myocardial infarction ( AMI) is associated with worse short and long-term cardiovascular outcomes, whether control of glycemia is sufficient to reduce morbidity and mortality is not proven at the present time. On the other hand, the target glucose levels in patients with AMI have yet to be defined. We believe that future major outcome studies will clearly define optimal glucose concentrations in patients with AMI. (c) 2007 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
