Öz: Bu makalede Muînüddîn el-Miskîn’in (ö. 907/1501) Meâricü’n Nübüvve fi Medârici’l Fütüvve adlı siyer eserindeki mitsel motifler incelenmiş, eserin Türkçe çevirisinde meşhuru olan Altıparmak Mehmet’inki esas alınmıştır. Eser diğer siyer kitaplarından farklı olarak Nûr-ı Muhammedî kavramını merkeze almakta, sadece Hz. Muhammed’in hayatını konu edinmeyip koz-molojik konuları mitik tarzda ele almaktadır. Yaratılış konusunun eserin başında mitik anlatımla işlenmesi, Nûr ve diğer başka (kalem, ağaç, kuş-ruh kuşu vb.) sembollerin kozmolojik konuların anlatımında kullanılması esere mitik karakter kazandırmaktadır. Ancak bu mitik nitelik sadece ese-rin başında değil, Nûr’un ele alındığı bölümlerde de (Miraç, Hz. Peygam-berin doğumu vb.) de kendisini göstermektedir. İslam geleneğindeki birçok kavramın arketiplerine değinilmektedir. Eser Türk ve Mezopotamya kül-türlerindeki mitik etkiyi barındırması, evrenin varoluşu, yaratılış, doğuş, ölüm gibi anlatımı zor kozmolojik konuları Hz. Muhammed (sav) merkezli ve mitik söylem tarzıyla ele alışı kitlelerin esere olan ilgisini artırmıştır.

Abstract: In this article were examined mythic themes in the siyer book named
Meâricu’n Nubuvve fi Medârici’l Futuvva by Muînuddîn el-Miskîn (ö.
907/1501) and its famous translation by Altıparmak Muhammed. Unlike
other siyer books, the book has taken the Nur/Glory of Muhammed to the
centre and addresses cosmological issues in a mythic style beside the life
of Prophet. It is handled genesis in religious and mythic style at the beginning
of the book and the concept of Nûr and other symbols (pen, tree, birdspirit
bird etc.) in cosmological style has brought mythic character to the
text. This mythic feature manifests in forward chapters (ascension and
birth of Muhammed) that related to the Glory of Muhammed too. The book
mentions the archetypes of many concepts in Islamic tradition. There are
old Turkish and Mesopotamian myths, cosmological issues of the existence
of the universe, genesis, death, etc. in the book and these difficult subjects
are being processed in mythic style and based on the Glory of Muhammad.
Therefore this book became popular and earned fame among Turkish people.
