Özet

Introduction: Non-hodking lymphoma is defined as a lymphoma arising from the medullary space of a single bone without lymphatic involvement or distant metastasis. Primary malignant non-Hodgkin lymphomas of the mandible represent approximately 8% of all tumors in this bone and approximately 0.6% of all non-Hodgkin malignant lymphomas. It is usually diagnosed in the jawbones of adults in the fourth and fifth decades, with a male-to-female ratio of 1:2.

Case Presentation:A 67-year-old male patient applied to our clinic with a complaint of non-healing swelling at the tip of the lower jaw. In his anamnesis, it was learned that he had hypertension. As a result of the patient's clinical and radiological examination, it was decided to take a biopsy. An incisional biopsy was performed from the lesion expanding intraosseous in hard and soft tissue with ill-defined borders in the patient's symphysis region. The histopathological diagnosis was determined to be B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The patient was referred to the hematology clinic for treatment.

Conclusıon: Diagnosis of oral lymphoma may be delayed because it resembles other lesions in the intraoral region. Late diagnosis negatively affects the prognosis in this disease, which is treated with chemotherapy, radiotherapy and combination. Therefore, lymphoma should not be ignored in the differential diagnosis of lesions in the intraoral region.
