Özet

Today using of plastic materials are increased dramatically. This is charged the waste plastic problems and because of plastics produced from petroleum, the waste plastics could lose economically. The chemical degradation of plastic waste is a famous method for chemical compounds production like petrochemical feedstock. These compounds are used in some valuable such as solvent production, methanol production and other commonly chemicals. In this study we have investigated the thermal degradation of polyethylene wastes with or without catalyst and the products boiling point area and found that the boiling points of liquid distillation fractions are about 68 to 352 oC. Unsaturation of degradation products has determined by Iodine Value/Number (IV). The liquids of noncatalytic degradation have low IV then catalytic ones and in the Mo catalyst conditions the liquid IV is high than other catalysts
