While historians of philosophy are writing on Socrates' biography and searching for his philosophy, they can come across a difficulty which had never been seen in any philosopher and thinker. This difficulty does not come from only since Socrates wrote nothing but at the same time stems from the writings of the most varied characters of those Socratic philosophers and ancient writers. Since they either set forth their ideas into Socrates' mouth or employed Socrates' ideas for the touchstone for only their own philosophical assumptions. As a result of this, Socrates' own ideas turned into paradoxical nature and the 'Problem of Socrates' emerged. Hence, the final purpose of this paper is to spell out and shed light to this so- called 'Problem of Socrates' by analysis in detail.
