Özet

The association between metabolic syndrome and coronary artery disease. either clinical or subelinical. has been well established. There is also a consensus regarding the higher prevalence of metabolic syndrome in females compared with males with coronary artery disease. However, the impact of gender on the coronary artery disease severity has not been investigated in patients with metabolic syndrome. The available data have suggested no significant association between gender and the extent and severity of coronary artery disease. (c) 2005 Elsevier Ireland Ltd. All rights reserved.
