Abstract

N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) have been recognized not only as important supporting ligands [1], but also as valuable

structural units with their innovative properties [2]. The ability to fully control the steric and electronic properties of these

molecules has contributed to their being at the forefront of many advances in innovative molecular ligand design [3]. Since

NHCs are ligands with strong σ-donor and weak π-accepting ability, they contribute to the synthesis of complexes with high

thermal and chemical stability by forming strong metal-ligand bonds [4]. Sulphamides are very frequently studied organic

compounds and exhibit very high biological activities for a diversity of targets [5]. However, it can be thought that compounds

containing sulfonyl groups will also be bioactive compounds.
