Özet

The recent correspondence by Pender et al., ‘Latent tuberculosis screening without chest X-ray: a single-centre experience’, suggested that chest X-ray may not be necessary for latent tuberculosis infection screening prior to biologic therapy. However, combining immunological testing with chest X-rays provides a safer, more comprehensive strategy to minimize reactivation risk in patients receiving biologic therapies.
