Introduction: Regenerative endodontics aims to replace necrotic pulp tissues with regenerated pulp-like tissues to revitalize teeth. Revascularization therapy is indicated to for
induce apical barrier formation in teeth with open apex.
Case Report: A 9-year-old female patient was admitted
to the clinic with the complaint of pain caused by biting in
her left upper lateral tooth. It was learned that the tooth was
traumatized one year ago. Revascularization treatment was

planned for the tooth with an open apex, which was clinically asymptomatic and no pathology was observed on radiographic examination. In the first session of the patient`s tooth,
the canal length was determined by opening the access cavity
under local anesthesia. After irrigation with NaOCl, serum,
CHX a double antibiotic paste was placed in the canal. When
the patient arrived two weeks later, after making sure that he
had no symptoms, the temporary filling was removed and irrigated with serum and EDTA. There was bleeding from the
root tip, the canal was waited for filling with blood and clot
formation. Then, the top filling was performed after MTA
occlusion up to the coronal 1/3 of the root. First month, 6th
month and 1 year controls of the patient were made.
Discussion: Especially, which has been used recently, is seen
as a promising new approach this treatment method compared to traditional treatment methods.
Conclusion: Revascularization treatment seems to be effective for thickening of the canal walls and continuity of root
development in young permanent teeth with an open apex
with infected necrotic pulp tissue.
