Bu çalışmada, açık alanların gece kullanımı için önemli olan aydınlatma kavramı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, kapsamı ve yöntemi hakkında genel bilgiler sunularak aydınlatmanın önemi vurgulanmıştır. Çalışmanın amacı, aydınlatma kavramı ve aydınlatma tekniklerini genel itibariyle inceledikten sonra, genel aydınlatma ilkelerine yer vererek, Malatya’da uygulanmış olan dört farklı rekreasyon alanının peyzaj aydınlatmasını gözden geçirip, aydınlatmanın peyzajdaki önemini ortaya koymaktır. Malatya kent merkezinde yer alan dört farklı rekreasyon alanında bulunan aydınlatma donatı elemanlarının tasarım teknikleri ve ilkeleri incelenmiş, tasarım uygunluğu açısından değerlendirilmiş ve aydınlatmanın peyzajdaki önemini ortaya koymuştur. İncelenen rekreasyon alanlarında açık alanların gece kullanımını sağlamak için aydınlatma projeleri uygulanmadan önce ve sonra ortaya çıkan sorunların çözümüne yönelik öneriler de sunulmuştur. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda, tasarım ilkeleri ve teknikler göz önünde bulundurularak, en uygun peyzaj aydınlatma tasarımına sahip olan alanın sanat sokağı olduğu belirlenmiştir.
In this study, the concept of lighting, which is important for night use of open spaces, is discussed. General information about the purpose, scope and method of the study was presented and the importance of illumination was emphasized. The aim of the study is to review the landscape lighting of four different recreation areas applied in Malatya, by including general lighting principles, after examining the concept of lighting and lighting techniques in general, and to reveal the importance of lighting in the landscape. The design techniques and principles of lighting equipment elements in four different recreation areas in Malatya city center were examined, evaluated in terms of design suitability, and the importance of lighting in the landscape was revealed. Suggestions for solving the problems that arise before and after the implementation of lighting projects to ensure night use of open areas in the examined recreation areas are also presented. As a result of the study, it was determined that the area with the most appropriate landscape lighting design was the art street, taking into account the design principles and techniques.
